Wedding abroad

YOUR HENNA UNDER A STARRY SKY

Getting married abroad is the opportunity to enjoy a complete change of scenery to organize your henna evening. In Judaism, wedding is an institution imbued with essential rites and traditions. The henna ceremony is an opportunity to surprise your guests. For the occasion, the Jewish bride and groom, both men and women, dress in oriental clothing and share a rich and traditional meal with their guests in a festive atmosphere, with Jewish songs and dances, all immortalized by a photographer (Jewish wedding photos) selected by us, or chosen by the bride and groom. The meal is certified in accordance with Jewish law. The custom is to spread a henna paste in the palm of the hands of the bride and groom and guests and to place a gold louis held by a red ribbon to bring luck and happiness. This evening of sharing is also marked by the gift baskets offered by the guests to the bride and groom. The sublime gardens of the masseria are a privileged place to organize your henna and share with your guests a lively evening of festivities. Barbecues, oriental dancers, a typical orchestra, take advantage of the exceptional locations in Italy and Corsica to celebrate your dream kosher wedding.

Shabbat meal

A SUMPTUOUS SETTING FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE SHABBAT

Shabbat is also an important spiritual moment during a Jewish wedding and its various stages. It's entirely possible to organize your Shabbat meal in Italy or Corsica the day before your wedding. Treat yourself to a beach party on Italy's most beautiful beaches on Friday lunchtime before celebrating Shabbat dinner on Friday evening in a beautiful orange grove under a starry sky and enjoying a typical Italian kosher buffet on Saturday lunchtime by the pool, for example. Our team of wedding planners has selected the most beautiful hotels in Italy and Corsica to create an original, friendly, and exclusive kosher wedding, whatever your wedding budget and number of guests.

religious ceremony

DOLCE VITA CHUPPA

Once the civil union is celebrated, the bride and groom can have a religious wedding in the synagogue. The religious ceremony can also take place outdoors. Exchange your rings in front of your family and friends at a seaside wedding or in a masseria! In this case, the chuppah (religious arch) will be erected directly at the wedding venue. In Jewish weddings, the chuppah symbolizes the family home. This is why the bride and groom gather underneath it with the rabbi and witnesses during the religious ceremony. Moreover, Puglia offers landscapes as timeless as they are breathtaking, making it an idyllic place to host your Jewish wedding ceremony among the trulli and create a magical atmosphere. Whether you have a ceremony among olive trees or on the beach, the natural beauty of these places is enough to immerse you in a dolce vita atmosphere. Our team of wedding planners will enhance your chuppah with decorations based on local flowers, lights, and according to your tastes, to introduce a light Italian scent under this arch of love. Organize a Jewish wedding à la dolce vita that you will remember for the rest of your life!

rites and traditions

A RABBI MADE IN ITALY

While Jewish weddings are characterized by their festive atmosphere and full of customs, they are nonetheless a highly codified event. Rites and traditions are at the heart of a Jewish wedding celebration and require careful and anticipated preparation. First, the preparation of a Jewish wedding (How does the preparation of your Jewish wedding take place?) must be done with the rabbi of their community, who will guide the couple through the process and explain their duties and responsibilities. These preparation meetings must take place almost a year before the wedding date. The spouses must also prepare a religious wedding file and send it to our wedding planning agency if they wish to celebrate their wedding with a rabbi in Italy. Depending on your wishes, we can put you in touch with a local rabbi for the wedding celebration, the writing of the ketubah, the purchase of the tallit, or the celebration of Shabbat. You can also decide to have your rabbi officiate at your Jewish wedding in Italy or Corsica. It's important to let us know your needs early in planning your Jewish wedding so we can book the services of the rabbi and his team.

The tevila

A MIKVAH IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

The mikveh is also an important moment in wedding preparation in Jewish tradition. Before the religious ceremony, the bride-to-be must immerse herself in this traditional bath of water to purify herself.
In the context of a wedding abroad, the kala (fiancée) has two options. She can choose to have her mikveh performed at her place of residence. However, this has the disadvantage of having to be separated from her future husband until the wedding day. The other option is to take advantage of Italy's crystal-clear sea to perform her mikveh. Indeed, for the tevila (immersion) to be valid, the bride simply needs to immerse herself completely in a natural water source: sea, river, stream, lake, etc. Get married according to Jewish law in Italy!

religious ceremony

THE COURSE OF A JEWISH CEREMONY

The man is the first to enter the synagogue, covered in his tallit (prayer shawl). The woman joins him next. Her veil is lowered over her face before being uncovered by the future groom, who comes to meet her a few meters in front of the chuppah. All men present in the synagogue must wear the kippah. The religious ceremony begins with the blessing of a cup of wine and the reading of prayers by the rabbi. The union of man and woman is formalized when the future groom places the gold wedding band on his bride's finger. The rabbi then reads the ketubah, a Jewish religious wedding contract, which is signed by the groom before the ceremony. This religious document describes the duties of the future spouses and the foundations of the Jewish home. The rabbi reads aloud the seven blessings of wedding over the cup of wine. Then comes the glass-breaking ritual, which involves the groom breaking a glass of wine with his right foot. This act is performed in commemoration of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.
